Metaphysics digs into the “why” behind the “how”—for example, instead of asking how gravity works (as physics does), metaphysics might ask why gravity exists at all.
Metaphysics deals with ideas that might not yet be provable by current scientific methods. But history has shown that many metaphysical ideas eventually become part of science—things like atoms, black holes, and the Big Bang started as theories that seemed impossible until science caught up.
